They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but we think there everyone would agree on the beauty of a new Maserati, or supermodel Heidi Klum. That is why we were pretty overwhelmed to find Klum cozied up alongside several new Maserati models in the pages of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition that hit newsstands last month.
In recognition of Maserati’s 100th anniversary and the 50th anniversary of the SI Swimsuit Edition, the two came together in a special section of the publication that was titled “Beyond the Swimsuit.” These pages found Heidi Klum in a Maserati racing jumpsuit posing with models like the 2014 Maserati Ghibli S Q4, the 2014 GranTurismo MC Trofeo, and the recent Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zenga Concept.
This appearance in Sports Illustrated comes right on the heels of the big commercial for the Ghibli that aired during the Super Bowl. All of this publicity is well-deserved and the CEO of Maserati SPA, Harald Wester, spoke about this recent success, saying, “We’ve prepared a new line-up of Maserati Cars with the glamorous Quattroporte, the 4-door daily performer Ghibli, and the sporty GranTurismo Convertible, and this massive effort deserves the largest audience platforms to take notice.”1
